  For my first post on tumblr, I thought I would share this find from Pinterest. As a designer and artist, this can become a scary reality. When the client decides now that they want to art direct with full control. I really believe that there should be a fair balance in this process. Your client knows THEIR business better than you, so you need to listen intently on WHAT they want to communicate. Even HOW they want to should be respected. But beyond that, your expertise should take precedence, and drive the design. And that is a tough balance to keep. Giving enough freedom from input, but still staying in the drivers seat, so you don’t end up using ponies and unicorns in the design solution.

  I think we ALL have projects that have gone like this…….. How do you keep your balance?
